Gears of War: E-Day Brings the Emergence Pie to Prince St. Pizza

Xbox and Prince St. Pizza have launched a Gears of War: E-Day promotion built around a limited-edition pie, an in-game emblem, and a Prototype Lancer-inspired pizza cutter.

Gears of War: E-Day Brings the Emergence Pie to Prince St. Pizza

The collaboration gives Gears fans a location-based promotion tied directly to the game’s October release, while separate reporting indicates the collectible cutter quickly sold out.

Xbox is pairing Gears of War: E-Day with a limited-time Prince St. Pizza promotion that extends beyond branded packaging. The collaboration includes the Emergence Pie at participating Prince St. Pizza locations, a code for an in-game pizza emblem with each eligible purchase, and a pizza cutter modeled after the game’s Prototype Lancer.

Xbox Wire says the Emergence Pie is available at Prince St. Pizza locations across the U.S. and in Toronto, Canada through November 1. The game itself is scheduled to arrive on October 6, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Steam.

The promotion is a small but unusually tangible part of the lead-up to E-Day. Its food item is available in person, its emblem connects a purchase to the game, and its cutter turns one of Gears most recognizable weapon designs into a kitchen collectible.

A pie built around the promotion

According to Xbox Wire, the Emergence Pie combines spicy vodka sauce, fresh mozzarella, ground pepperoni, sausage, and Carbone Fine Food Aglio e Peperoncino Italian Chili Crisp. It is available as a pie or by the slice during the promotion window.

Every purchase of an Emergence Pie or a slice comes with a unique code for a Gears of War: E-Day in-game pizza emblem, Xbox Wire states. That makes the food purchase the route to the digital reward, rather than an item automatically attached to the game itself.

The details matter for players considering the promotion. The pie and emblem are linked, while the cutter is a separate product offered through Prince St. Pizza’s online store. Xbox Wire does not provide a price for either the pie or the cutter in its announcement.

The Prototype Lancer cutter

The limited-edition pizza cutter is modeled after the Prototype Lancer from Gears of War: E-Day, according to Xbox Wire. The company said the item was available through Prince St. Pizza’s online store when the collaboration was announced.

VGC reported that the cutter was priced at $60 and had sold out by the time that publication posted its report. That report describes the cutter as based on the game’s Lancer weapon. Its stock status and price are therefore reported by VGC, rather than confirmed in Xbox Wire’s announcement.

The distinction is useful because the food promotion has a defined availability window, while the cutter was presented as a limited-edition online item. Players interested in the emblem have the pie or slice route; players interested in the cutter face a separate purchase and, according to VGC’s report, limited availability.

A launch-week companion rather than game content

Xbox Wire frames the partnership as a celebration of E-Day’s launch. The timing places the pizza promotion across the game’s release date, with the pie continuing after the game becomes available.

VGC reported that E-Day is set 14 years before the original Gears of War and follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as the Locust Horde emerges. That publication’s earlier hands-on coverage characterized the campaign as an origin story for the pair’s later bond.

Eurogamer, meanwhile, reported that the game revisits the origins of the Locust threat and described its preview as resembling the original trilogy in pacing, mechanics, and setup. It also reported that The Coalition sees Hardcore as the intended difficulty, even though Normal is the default setting and players can use split difficulty in co-op.

Those reports concern the game rather than the pizza collaboration, but they clarify why Xbox is using E-Day’s imagery for the campaign. The Prototype Lancer cutter and Emergence Pie take their names and design cues from a game centered on an earlier chapter of the Gears conflict.

The practical picture for fans

The promotion now has a straightforward division:

  • The Emergence Pie is available at Prince St. Pizza locations in the U.S. and Toronto, Canada through November 1.
  • A pie or slice purchase includes a code for an in-game Gears of War: E-Day pizza emblem, according to Xbox Wire.
  • The Prototype Lancer-inspired cutter was sold separately online, and VGC reported that it had sold out at the time of its coverage.
  • Gears of War: E-Day is scheduled for October 6, 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Steam.

For the Gears audience, this is a promotional tie-in with a clear physical and digital split: a limited restaurant item that yields an in-game cosmetic, alongside a separately sold collectible. The more consequential release remains E-Day itself, but the Prince St. Pizza campaign gives fans a brief, location-bound way to mark its arrival.
