A small-data approach to publishing.

• Newsletter email address, signup source, subscription status, and related timestamps when you subscribe.
• If you create a member account, authentication identity, verified email status, security sessions, selected profile details, privacy preferences, follows, saved records, private collections, and in-app notification state.
• Aggregate article-view, completed share, signup-origin, and newsletter or social link-visit events used to understand publication activity.
• Private editorial calendar, checklist, archive-publication, and milestone-review records. Public GG Weekly issues contain editorial story snapshots, not subscriber information.
• Your essential, analytics, and advertising preference stored in your browser and an essential first-party cookie.
• Aggregate eligible ad-slot views only after advertising consent and provider mode are both active.
• Technical request information processed for security and rate limiting. The application converts the client network identifier into a keyed hash rather than storing the raw value in its audience tables.

We use this information to operate the site, maintain security, avoid duplicate or abusive requests, manage the newsletter, measure aggregate readership, honor privacy choices, and evaluate advertising inventory. Editorial dossiers do not use visitor profiles.

Member accounts are optional and remain separate from GG Weekly subscriptions. GG Bulletin uses account data to authenticate members, protect sessions, display the profile settings a member selected, and provide explicit personalization such as follows, saved records, private collections, and in-app notifications. The member dashboard is based on those explicit choices rather than hidden browsing-history profiling.

Profiles and collections are private by default. A public profile is shown only after a member explicitly enables it and the site-wide public-profile feature is active. Email addresses, account identifiers, security sessions, and private activity are never included in the public profile.

Essential storage records your privacy choice and supports core security. Optional first-party analytics and advertising are controlled separately. Newsletter signup origin and campaign-link visits are stored only as daily aggregates; GG Bulletin does not use an email-open tracking pixel. Optional advertising measurement remains off until you consent. Use “Privacy choices” in the footer to change your selection.

Hosting, email, security, AI, analytics, or advertising providers may process information only when their service is configured and used. Their own terms and privacy notices may apply. GG Bulletin does not sell newsletter email addresses. Advertising provider code remains disabled when ads are off or in preview mode. In provider mode it loads only on approved advertising pages after the visitor has allowed advertising.

Subscriber records are kept while the subscription is active and as needed to honor opt-out or operational obligations. Member account records are kept while the account is active and as needed to protect security, honor an export or deletion request, or meet operational and legal obligations. Account deletion removes member-owned profile, follow, save, collection, and notification data; security and moderation records may be anonymized where retention is necessary. Audience and ad measurements are stored as daily aggregates. Security and editorial records are retained according to operational and legal needs. Hosting providers may keep separate infrastructure logs.
