Assessment Methodology

GG Bulletin assessments summarize the strength of the currently available intelligence surrounding a game. They are editorial estimates designed to explain momentum, confidence, activity, outlook, and risk.

0–100

Higher numbers indicate stronger positive intelligence signals at the time of assessment.

Independent

Confidence reflects the strength and completeness of the available information.

Scores may change as announcements, reporting, technical conditions, and community activity evolve.

Signal Framework

What contributes to the assessment

Signal importance may vary depending on whether a game is announced, in development, approaching release, released, or receiving ongoing live support.

Community Interest

Audience attention, discussion momentum, anticipation, and sustained community activity surrounding a game.

Developer Activity

The frequency, clarity, and significance of official developer communication and visible development activity.

Coverage Confidence

The completeness, consistency, and reliability of the information available to GG Bulletin.

Release Outlook

Release timing, roadmap visibility, launch momentum, and available post-launch planning.

Stability Outlook

Technical health, operational stability, support continuity, and known scheduling or performance concerns.

Evidence Guardrails

When evidence can influence a score

Source records are scored independently, then checked for reliability before they can influence an assessment signal. Dimensions that do not clear these safeguards retain their editorial profile value.

Multi-source threshold

2+ records

At least one record must be verified and aggregate confidence must reach 75%.

Authoritative exception

90% confidence

One verified official or developer source can qualify without a second record.

Evidence influence

65% maximum blend

A qualifying authoritative single source receives a 55% evidence share.

Signal guardrail

±15 points

The evidence target is bounded before blending so one assessment cycle cannot produce an abrupt signal swing.

Classification Bands

How to interpret the score

90–100

Exceptional Signal

Exceptionally strong momentum, confidence, and outlook.

80–89

High Signal

Strong positive signals with limited major concerns.

65–79

Positive Signal

A favorable outlook with some incomplete or uncertain signals.

45–64

Developing Signal

Mixed, early, or developing intelligence signals.

0–44

Limited Signal

Information, momentum, confidence, or stability remains limited.

Editorial Context

What the assessment does not mean

A high assessment does not guarantee critical acclaim, commercial success, technical stability, or personal enjoyment.

A lower assessment may reflect limited information, uncertainty, weak communication, early development, or unresolved technical concerns.
